Last updated: 26 September 2026. This policy applies to all repairs carried out at our Oakville workshop and to all work sent to us by post.
The short version
- Prices published on this site are fixed. Parts and labour are included.
- Diagnosis is free. If we cannot repair it, you pay nothing.
- Every repair carries a 90-day warranty on the part we fitted and the labour that fitted it.
- Nothing is repaired until you have approved the price.
Diagnosis and assessment
Every device is opened and inspected on the bench before any repair begins. Assessment is free, including the return of your device if you decide not to proceed.
If the inspection reveals damage beyond what was described or quoted, we stop and contact you with a revised price. We do not continue on the assumption that you would want us to.
No Fix, No Fee
If we cannot resolve the fault, you are charged nothing. This applies to the quoted repair and to the assessment, whether or not the device was sent to us by post.
Where a fault proves to be a second, unrelated failure found after the original repair was completed and accepted, that is treated as a new job and quoted separately.
90-day warranty
Repairs are warranted for 90 days from collection, or from delivery where the device was returned by post. The warranty covers the replacement component we supplied and the workmanship that fitted it.
If the same fault returns within the warranty period, we will re-service the device at no charge. Warranty work is prioritised ahead of routine bookings.
What the warranty does not cover
- New damage from a drop, impact or liquid spill after collection.
- Faults in parts of the device we did not touch, including unrelated failures discovered later.
- Devices opened or worked on by another party after leaving our bench.
- Cosmetic wear that does not affect function, including scuffs from opening the housing.
Your data
Physical repairs do not involve your storage, and we do not wipe devices. Your games, accounts, profiles and saved files remain as they were.
Where a repair requires a software reset to test properly, we will tell you before doing it and ask you to back up first. We recommend keeping a current backup of anything you cannot afford to lose, for any repair.
Collection and uncollected devices
We will contact you when your device is ready. Please collect it within 30 days of that notification. After 60 days, and after further written reminders, we may sell an uncollected device to recover the cost of the work and storage. We will always try to reach you first.
Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer protection law. Where this policy and your statutory rights differ, your statutory rights take precedence.
Questions about this policy
Contact the workshop during opening hours and ask for the person who handled your repair. We would rather answer a question directly than have you rely on a document.
