Level Up Repair

Repair questions, answered the same way we would at the counter.

No jargon and no hedging. If something in here is still unclear, phone the workshop and ask — you will speak to the person who does the work.

Common questions

How does the No Fix, No Fee guarantee work?

If we cannot repair it, you pay nothing — not even the diagnostic time. That covers board-level faults and corrosion we judge to be beyond economic repair. We tell you before we start when a case looks doubtful.

Are the published prices fixed or estimates?

Fixed. Every catalogued repair on this site is the price you pay, parts and labour included. If we uncover secondary damage during the inspection we stop and quote the difference rather than adding it to the bill.

What payment methods do you accept?

Debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, plus e-transfer. You pay when you collect, after you have seen the repair working.

How quickly can you fix my controller or console?

Most controller work — stick drift, buttons, triggers — is done same-day. Console port repairs usually take two to three business days because they involve board-level soldering and a full retest.

What does the 90-day warranty actually cover?

Both the replacement component we fitted and the labour that fitted it. If the same fault reappears within 90 days we re-service it at no cost. It does not cover new damage from a drop or liquid spill.

Can I get stick drift fixed while I wait?

Yes, for most controllers. Bring it in before mid-afternoon and it is usually ready the same day. Modules are calibrated on the bench before you collect.

What happens if a fault comes back within 90 days?

Bring it back with your job number. Warranty work jumps the queue — it goes onto the bench ahead of routine bookings, and there is no charge.

Do you use genuine replacement parts?

We fit genuine or OEM-spec components, including reinforced HDMI sockets and quality replacement sticks. We do not fit the cheap unbranded parts that cause the same failure a few months later.

Will a repair delete my game saves or profile?

No. Port replacement, power work and thermal servicing do not touch internal storage. Your games, captures and profiles are exactly as you left them.

Do I need to book before dropping something off?

No booking is needed for drop-off — walk-ins are welcome. Booking ahead is only worth it for same-day controller work, because it reserves bench time.

Do you repair liquid-damaged consoles?

In many cases, yes. Corroded boards need ultrasonic cleaning and component-level rework, so we assess them first and give you an honest yes or no rather than a maybe.

What should I bring with my console?

The console unit on its own is enough for most repairs. Bring the power supply or controller only if the fault relates to them.

Still not sure what is wrong with it?

Bring it in and we will tell you what it is before you commit to anything. Diagnosis is free.
